Value of a Charter School
As a parent, you now have options in choosing the right school for their child.
We have autonomy to create innovative approaches to teaching and learning in order to improve your child's learning.
We, as a charter school, are free to make timely decisions about our curriculum, the structure of the school, and the hiring of teachers.
We operate within a multi-tiered accountability system; to you the parents, performance based contracts and to state and local public officials. This leads to a high-quality school and more importantly, higher achievement levels by the students that attend.

Gabby, Student Grade 9
Being a biracial student, I feel comfortable because I am accepted here, no matter my ethnic background.
Kaylan, Student Grade 12
This school has impacted my life in every positive way. I’m grateful to my parents for sending me here.
Ahyenday, Student Grade 12
The thing I really like about our school is the smaller class sizes. Coming from a big school with 35 plus students, I never really got the maximum help that I needed. But, here where the class sizes are only 15 to 20 students, each individual gets the help they need and then some.
Tanner, Student Grade 12
I think that the best thing about Rock Creek is the unity. Everybody works as a whole, and no one is ever left out.
Emaleigh Jones, Student Grade 9
Last year was the first year my son attended Rock Creek. I could not have been more pleased. The staff and teachers really care about the students. I have never seen this kind of dedication in the public school my children have attended in the past.
We couldn't be happier to be a part of the Rock Creek family. I wouldn't even know where to start, but let me just say that the school doesn't just brush bullying under the rug like so many other schools. They truly care about the welfare of the student. My daughter has been struggling in math and they've been giving her the help she needs. I've already seen an improvement. If you aren't sure about whether a charter school is right for you, I would visit, talk to some of the students and staff. It is the right place for my daughter. Our family loves it. We are thankful we were able to get back in this year.
My daughter has only had Kindergarten at Rock Creek so far, but I have really seen great things out of her. The teachers have really good communication with the parents and her Kindergarten class is reading at a first grade level. She brings about 15 minutes of homework home each day except for Friday and they take spelling tests each week. Mrs. Winchester is an awesome teacher who really cares about the kids.
